Pilarcitos Creek Restoration Day
This event is made possible by the generosity of Damasco and Associates, 700 Monte Vista Lane, Half Moon Bay.
Please join us, and bring your friends, neighbors, gloves and sun screen for a day of trash cleanup and non-native plant removal near Pilarcitos Creek. We'll talk about our local flora and fauna and how we can continue to ensure the protection of open space in Half Moon Bay. We'll trade restoration stories and share the fun of keeping the sensitive habitat areas of our town clean. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at 9:45 am in the parking lot of the Stone Pine office park, 120 Stone Pine Rd, Half Moon Bay, and finish up by noon.
We'll provide gloves and trash bags. Wear layers and sturdy shoes.

We have an ongoing need to remove trash and keep invasive vegetation under control on our lands to protect the habitat, recreational and scenic values of these lands.
The work parties will be directed to the areas most needing attention at the time.
Meet at the Coastside Land Trust office at 788 Main Street, Half Moon Bay.
We will go out rain or shine.
Wildflower Workshop & Railroad Right-of-Way Wildflower Walk
Sat, Apr 21
Half Moon Bay plant expert Toni Corelli will lead a workshop and walk about plant identification along and beyond the Railroad Right-of-Way. All about Coastside plants, native and non-native. Learn plant family characteristics, how non-native plants arrive here, and where the native plants are. We'll look at wetland, coastal bluff and native prairie habitats. The workshop and walk are suitable for beginners, experts and families, weather can be unpredictable so wear layers and sturdy shoes.

Railroad Right-of-Way Wildflower Walk
3–5pm; meet at corner of Poplar Street & Railroad Avenue.
The Bird Walk is free for everyone. Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, bring binoculars if you have them. Both events are suitable for families.
Back by popular demand, Alvaro Jamarillo will lead a workshop to study behavior, field marks, ecology and migratory patterns of local seabirds and songbirds then lead us on a walk in the field.

California Coastal Cleanup Day
Become a part of history!
Join the Coastside Land Trust as we participate in one of the largest volunteer events in the world.
In 2010 over 82,500 volunteers removed 1.2 million pounds of trash and recyclables from our beaches, lakes and waterways.
This year CLT will focus our efforts on Pilarcitos Creek.
Meet at 120 Stone Pine, Half Moon Bay at 8:45. Bring gloves, buckets, sturdy shoes, and friends!
Wavecrest Workday

Meet at Smith Field, at the west end of Wavecrest Rd.
Wear layers and sturdy shoes; we provide gloves and tools.

Raptor Identification Workshop with Alvaro Jaramillo
Saturday, January 26; 1–5pm
Come learn about the Coastside birds of prey: hawks, eagles, falcons, kites and owls. We’ll study field marks, behavior, ecology and migratory patterns. Learn how to tell them apart and where to find them. The Workshop and Walk are suitable for beginning to expert birders and families. The workshop will be led by Alvaro Jaramillo and the birdwalk will be led by Gary Deghi and Alvaro Jaramillo. Bring binoculars; wear layers & sturdy shoes. Light refreshments will be served.

Meet the artists showing their original works in the CLT Midwinter show and see all new works displayed in the gallery. Wavecrest Clean-Up Day at the 50 acres
